Who we are
What we collect
- Booking / contact form: name, phone, email, WeChat ID (optional), preferred contact method and language, customer type, service, service address or ZIP code, preferred date and time of day, your message, and the page the form was sent from.
- Cost estimator: the service and options you choose, and the address or ZIP code you enter.
- When you contact us directly: what you send us by phone, text, WeChat or email.
- Human verification: to check that a real person, not a spam program, is sending the booking form, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a human-verification service from Cloudflare. When you start using the form (for example, clicking or typing in any field), the page loads Cloudflare's check. For this check, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and signals from your browser; when our server checks the result with Cloudflare, it also sends your IP address. The browser signals Cloudflare collects are not sent to us; we only learn whether the check passed. Cloudflare states that it collects this information to detect and block automated programs (and also uses it to improve Turnstile), not to identify, profile or target individuals; see Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum. If you prefer not to use it, you can call, message us on WeChat or email us instead.
- Technical information: the site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver and protect it, Cloudflare processes standard request information such as IP address, browser type and time of the visit, and may keep operational logs.
- Cookies: the site uses a single cookie,
lang, to remember the language you chose (kept for one year). We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and the site loads no third-party tracking code. After you get an estimate, the estimate (including the address you typed) is kept in your own browser tab (sessionStorage) so the booking form can be filled in for you; it is cleared when you close the tab and is not sent to us unless you submit the form.
How we use it
- To contact you, answer your questions and schedule the visit.
- To assess the job, quote, provide the service and invoice you.
- In the estimator, only to work out a rough cost range.
- To protect the site against abuse and spam.
How the form is sent and kept
When you send the booking form, its content is emailed to our company inbox through Cloudflare Email Service. The website has no database and keeps no other copy of what you send.
Form emails and the conversation that follows are kept for as long as we need them to handle your request, provide the service and keep business records such as invoices.
The cost estimator and Google Maps
When you enter an address or ZIP code in the estimator, our server may send it to Google Maps Platform to calculate the driving route and distance from Flushing. Google handles that information under its privacy policy. When Google is not used, we estimate the distance from public U.S. Census Bureau ZIP code data. The estimator does not store the address or ZIP code you enter.
Data on your devices, on site or remotely
When we repair, recover or set up a device, or move your data to a new one, we access only the data the job needs, and we ask before looking at files, accounts or passwords. When an account has to be signed in to (WeChat, for example), you type the password yourself. We do not keep copies of data from your devices after the job unless you ask us to. If data recovery needs a temporary working copy on our side, we tell you beforehand how it is handled.
For remote tech support, you start the connection, it happens only with your agreement, and you can watch what we do and end it at any time. When the work is done the connection is closed and, unless you have agreed otherwise in writing, we keep no access to your computer.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us at any time to show, correct or delete the personal information you gave us: email contact@daxinsmart.com or call (315) 888-5858. Some records, such as invoices, may have to be kept by law.
Children
This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice. When we do, we change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
