Business solutions

Website development

Bilingual business websites, from domain to launch

Mobile-friendly business websites in Chinese, English or both, plus help with your domain, company email and Google Business Profile.

How we work

  • On-site service

Our team is based in Flushing, Queens, and comes to your shop, office or home. Software and settings problems can also be handled remotely.

  • Quote first, then work

You get a written quote after an on-site assessment. Work starts only when you approve, and any extra time is discussed first.

  • A clear pricing method

Trip charge by round-trip mileage, labor by actual time. Tolls, the congestion toll and parking are passed through at cost, with no markup.

    How pricing works
  • Service area

All five NYC boroughs, Long Island, northern and central New Jersey, the lower Hudson Valley and coastal Connecticut. Farther areas: please book in advance.

Overview

Before customers call, they usually look you up on their phone. We build clean, clear websites for small businesses that show what you do, where you work and how to reach you. Sites can be in English, Chinese or both, and the Chinese is written for Chinese-speaking readers rather than translated word for word. The site you are reading is one we built the same way. We can also set up your domain, company email and Google Business Profile.

Who it is for

  • Small businesses without a website that rely on word of mouth
  • Businesses with an outdated site that is hard to use on phones
  • Businesses serving both Chinese- and English-speaking customers
  • Shops and on-site service businesses that want to be found on Google Maps

What we do

The work this service usually covers. The exact scope is set out in the written quote after an on-site assessment.

  1. Content planning and bilingual copy

We work out the pages and wording with you: services, areas served, common questions and contact details, with the Chinese and English each written for its own readers.

  2. Design and build

Pages designed around your logo and colors that are clear and easy to use on computers and phones, with attention to loading speed.

  3. Domain and company email

Domain registered or transferred, and company email such as info@yourdomain set up (for example with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or forwarding), which looks more professional than a personal address.

  4. Google Business Profile

Help creating or cleaning up your Google Business Profile (your listing on Google Maps): category, service area, phone and website link, and verification through Google’s process.

  5. Search basics

A title and description on every page, a sitemap submitted, and Chinese and English pages linked to each other so search engines understand the site.

  6. Launch, handover and later changes

The site goes live and you receive every account and a short guide. For later edits or new pages, ask us for a quote.

How it works

Nothing starts until you approve the quote, and parts or equipment are bought only with your OK.

  1. Talk it through

We learn about your business, your customers and what you want on the site, by phone, WeChat, email or in person.

  2. Plan and written quote

Pages, features and schedule agreed, with a written quote. Third-party costs such as the domain, hosting and email are billed at actual cost.

  3. Build and review page by page

We build page by page and you review and request changes; nothing in either language goes live until you have seen it.

  4. Launch, handover and an itemized invoice

The site goes live, the domain, hosting and email accounts are handed over with update instructions, and the invoice itemizes labor and third-party costs.

Quoted per project

The amount of work varies a lot between projects, so the estimator does not give a range. We first understand what you need and the scope, then give you a written quote that itemizes labor and any other costs. Work starts once you approve it.

Questions

Common questions about cost, scheduling and scope.

Does website work need an on-site visit?

Most of the work can be done remotely by phone, WeChat or email. When a meeting in person helps, or we need to take photos or set up equipment at your place, the visit is billed under our usual pricing method: trip charge plus labor time. The arrangement is set out in the quote.

How is a website priced?

Websites are quoted per project and the work is billed by actual labor time; once the pages and features are clear, you get a written quote. Website projects vary a lot, so the cost estimator on this site does not give a range for them; just tell us what you need. Third-party costs such as the domain, hosting and company email are billed at actual cost with no markup.

Who owns the domain and accounts?

The domain, hosting, email and Google Business Profile are registered in your name or your company’s name, and the accounts are handed to you. We only use the access you give us when the work requires it, so the site stays yours whoever looks after it later.

Will my site rank at the top of Google?

Rankings are decided by Google, and nobody can promise a position in advance. We get the basics right: clear content, a site that works well on phones, a title and description on every page and a complete Google Business Profile. Beyond that, rankings depend on factors such as your business activity and customer reviews.

We already have a website. Can you redesign it?

Yes. We first look at the current content and where the domain and hosting are, then suggest whether to redesign or rebuild. When redesigning, we keep the old addresses or set up redirects wherever possible to limit the effect on search.
